Seeing Red

If you ask me for my favourite colour, chances are I’ll throw a resounding “RED” in the mix (depending on which day of the week you ask, of course, with others jostling for the top spot being the arguably duller tones of black, navy, purple and teal). As the only colour in my preferred palette with any tonal warmth, RED is my colour of choice for a day of Adventure, Passion, Determination, Magic and… Moderate Excess.

There is a certain magnetism in RED, and it is perhaps one of the hardest colours to “un-see”. So, here is my take on one of my favourite colours, both at home and afar…

Love is… where Home is
red-6
I dream… of a Kombi-cation
red-9
Sweet treats in Shanghai
red-7

red-2

red-3
Hobbiton, Matamata, New Zealand
red-4

red-5

Quite recently only I read a post on ‘red’. And here is the second one. Seems it’s ‘Red’ season, which probably is because Christmas is at the corner. 😉
These pictures are really good. 😀

Thanks heaps! You are right, partly Christmas cheer and partly because Red is just such a bold colour. A splash of red always lifts my spirits 😋

  2. Love your play on the color theme red and the photos you chose to illustrate it. Especially captivating was the redwood forest one where those gorgeous trunks were set off with the reddish soil.

Thank you! It’s the start of a new week and I’m definitely in need of some red to lift spirits. And your kind words also help 😜 Have a great week!

Nice pictures, Jolene. You’ve certainly visited some far flung places. Is that kombi made of lego?

    1. Jolene says:

You bet! Hope one day it’ll be a real Kombi… and a real lake 😂 For now, I’ll have to satisfy with my imaginations.

These are wonderful – and I enjoyed the way you displayed them. Love the berries shot especially.
