I am nothing special, of this I am sure. I’m a common [girl] with common thoughts, and I’ve led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I’ve loved [you] with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has always been enough.
She was not born with 11 fingers or toes. She was not born with a hole in her heart. In fact, she was born on a hot stinky June afternoon in a crowded maternity ward in Shanghai, not much different at all from the hundreds of infants creating a cacophony around her.
Many years on and she is now a Chinese-Australian, proud of her humble oriental roots and the way her upbringing has helped shape her outlook in life. True to form, she is a Gemini of numerous incongruities; outwardly diffident and inwardly aspirational, outwardly stoic and yet inwardly fragile. She is a banker by trade, a writer at heart, and this, is her love affair with words.

Thanks for the encouragement Shreya, many thanks for visiting! 😊
Such a unique description! Most bloggers (like me) just write a bland old description of oneself. Looking forward to reading more of your blog.
Thanks for the encouraging words. I’ve always thought about writing a proper description like yours! Just another thing that I never got around to… 😂

Hihi, thanks very much for your feedback here! My mum is a Cancerian! How did you come by my blog (if you don’t mind me asking)? I’ll be sure to check out yours too! 😁
Hehe I love cancerians😉 (though they can be bit irritating too at times).😁
I came across your blog through your comment on someone else’s blog. Sorry don’t remember the name now.😛
Sure. Do check. Waiting for your feedback!☺
Hey I won’t argue with you there about cancerians being just a tiny bit irritating at times 😜
Thanks for visiting, and I look forward to embarking on the WP journey together!
This is a great bio. You’ve nailed it. I always go to a bio first; if someone can draw me in on describing themselves, then chances are that they will write well about all of the other things.
Also nice to meet a fellow Australian.
Thank you! Definitely great to meet another Australian!
Jolene, I’m so glad you found my blog or I’d never have come across yours and I LOVE IT! Everything reads so well, you’ve hit the nail on the head, you are very clearly a writer at heart. And your use of this theme is so clean, I think you’ve inspired a couple of changes to my layout. Thanks again! *Follow*
