I am nothing special, of this I am sure. I’m a common [girl] with common thoughts, and I’ve led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten, but I’ve loved [you] with all my heart and soul, and to me, this has always been enough.
She was not born with 11 fingers or toes. She was not born with a hole in her heart. In fact, she was born on a hot stinky June afternoon in a crowded maternity ward in Shanghai, not much different at all from the hundreds of infants creating a cacophony around her.
Many years on and she is now a Chinese-Australian, proud of her humble oriental roots and the way her upbringing has helped shape her outlook in life. True to form, she is a Gemini of numerous incongruities; outwardly diffident and inwardly aspirational, outwardly stoic and yet inwardly fragile. She is a banker by trade, a writer at heart, and this, is her love affair with words.
Reading your introduction one can make out you are at peace with yourself. Many good wishes coming your way Jolene π

Such a unique description! Most bloggers (like me) just write a bland old description of oneself. Looking forward to reading more of your blog.

Hey I won’t argue with you there about cancerians being just a tiny bit irritating at times π
Thanks for visiting, and I look forward to embarking on the WP journey together!
This is a great bio. You’ve nailed it. I always go to a bio first; if someone can draw me in on describing themselves, then chances are that they will write well about all of the other things.
Also nice to meet a fellow Australian.
Thank you! Definitely great to meet another Australian!
